I thought the resource handbook on Job Development was useful, especially for someone new to the field. It has someone interseting facts, case studies, and checklists that focus on how to develop contacts, steps to job readiness and how to make successful placements. It comes in a free PDF file or a hard copy of for 10.00.

One of your resources was about how to do presentations. This is something we're incorporating into all of our English classes at the request of our employer partners. Yours is a good resource. One of our teachers also found a great Youtube video, done by ESL students, about giving oral presentations. (Unfortunately, I don't know the URL offhand!)

It's really charming, as well as practical.

Thoughts About Resources: What are your opinions and questions? Ideas for using the resources?

Under General Resources for Staff: Diana's Links Related to Work -- a lot of interesting resources, including interactive grammar exercises that seem both informative and fun for students to explore.

Hi Robin-

Thanks for the feedback! If you use those (or any other) resources please let us know, and also how you adapt them (if you do), and how they work out in a real, live classroom. That will help the rest of us get ideas.

Thanks-

Diana
